crash to desktop
hi guys, anyone having a crash to desktop recently in the last couple of days. I'm getting them randomly since I installed an extra 512MB, so it could be that, but I thought I'd ask in case its an update bug or something

Sounds like your new memory may be causing the trouble.
Try this program to test it - http://www.memtest.org/ The pc access memory randomly, and if you have a bad adderess in your ram, pc is fine until it tries to use that address. Now what happens depend on whats using the address, windows, game, program, etc. Games tend to max the system out and show flaws up that you might of not seen before. |
